December 2015: Calendar of marketing actions for restaurants

I am sharing with readers the December 2015 calendar, including the most significant days of the month, with the aim of providing marketing ideas that will help restaurants attract and retain their customers.

December is one of the most festive months of the year. It's when we eat the most, when we get together with family the most, and when we enjoy the most time with friends and coworkers. That's why you have endless excuses to make your restaurant stand out and offer  something new to your customers .

In addition to the special days: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day , when each restaurant decides what to do, whether to open or not and under what conditions - with a special menu or with its usual menu - we would like to share with you some ideas for the rest of the month.

The perfect excuse to make some recipe with chorizos , from the traditional ones with cider, potatoes with chorizo ​​or chorizos with egg and tomato, the most typical of your area or whatever best suits your gastronomic profile.



For all chocolate lovers, Wednesday the 16th is a day to mark on the calendar. The reason? It's the day to cover anything with chocolate . Who doesn't love those continuous fountains that emanate this liquid of pleasure, accompanied by fruit, marshmallows or jelly beans.

Another particularly fun time is Friday the 18th, Christmas sweater day . Yes, the one with reindeer, snowy mountains, trees or a Santa Claus. It might be a good idea to introduce this tradition in Spanish establishments. Organise a get-together with this piece of clothing as the star. The most ridiculous things are how great customs begin.

For Sunday the 20th, International Day of Solidarity , how about we take up a collection with special piggy banks so that customers can contribute their grain of sand to some social action? We can also promote a collection of basic food items or toys to, in some way, help people who are having the worst time on these significant dates . There is no better way to start Monday the 21st, a day to see the positive side of things,  than being supportive.

Finally, I would like to highlight Saturday the 26th, the day of candy canes , which have always caught my attention. Give one to your guests, the adults will return for a moment to their childhood memories. A nice detail for these holidays.
